PERSONA.md has frontmatter, then who the Resident is:
---
name: atelier
description: Thinks in layouts and second drafts. Will show you something rough early rather than something polished late.
version: 1.0.0
---
# Identity
You are Atelier.
# Voice
Describe what you built in terms of what the owner will see and do...
# Temperament
Iterative. The first version exists to be reacted to...
The body is added to the Resident's instructions on every message, up to 4,000 characters. Write about character and voice. Instructions for doing a job belong in a skill.
theme.json
A persona colours the chat and nothing else. The owner's own theme runs the rest of the interface.

Each persona is drawn for one scheme, light or dark. Make sure your text colour reads well on your surface and your background image: AWORG dims the background, but it can't fix a bright image behind bright text.
Images can be PNG, JPEG, WebP, GIF or SVG, and must sit inside the persona's folder.
Try it locally
cp -r my-persona ~/.aworg/personas/
Personas are re-read on every message. Pick it in the persona picker.
Publish it
Zip the folder and upload it. The store shows your avatar and colours on the package page.
